Reforestation project at the School!

We are now raising money to buy trees to plant at the school. For Q15 ($2 US) we can buy a fast growing Gravilea tree. The trees will be planted by the children in June and July. We will be promoting environmental awareness and education, and discussing with the children the value of reforesting. We are hoping to buy at least 100 trees for this year, please help if you can.
Contact Briana at elhatoschool@yahoo.com.
Thanks!

  1. Gravilea or commonly known as guanabana a well know anticarcinogen is a worthy cause however, it is highly susceptible to disease if planted in wet areas.

You might consider instead planting paulownia elongata which is also fast growing, provides shade and beauty which is more fire and disease resistant.

You could do this a s a school project growing these trees from seed with the guidance of the the Enoch Olinga College (ENOCIS) www.enocis.org.

You may read more about paulownia at www.paulownianow.org. If this is of interest to your school the university will donate you some seeds and technical adivse to get you started.
